Overdue Fine Forgiveness

Wayne County Public Library will forgive overdue fines on WCPL children’s library cards from November 19th, 2010 to January 1st, 2011 as our gift to the children this holiday season.

The Library is forgiving over due fines only. If a child has other charges on their account those will need to be paid in full before any overdue fines will be forgiven. Accounts that have been turned over to a collection agency by another library are not eligible to have over due fines forgiven.

This gift is available to eligible patrons under 18 years of age. A child with overdues fines can visit any Wayne County Public Library location or the Mobile Branch and ask that their overdue fines be forgiven. Staff members will explain to the child how they can avoid over due fines in the future and forgive the over due fines on their card so the child has a fresh start for 2011.
